Our customer an aircraft manufacture in Southern California is looking for a few good engineers who love airplanes. The ideal candidate will be great at Pro/ENGINEER and have experience with composite materials.
The ideal candidate would not have to have an Aeronautical engineering degree but that is preferred.
-Design test fixtures and operate measuring equipment (strain gages, load cells, accelerometers, tension machine).
-Implement dynamic landing tests
Types of components tested: spars, wings, fuselages, landing gears, tails, external stores, pylons, and all sort of minor components (brackets, trays, bulkheads, mechanisms, linkages, etc)
-Design surfaces (fuselage, wings)
-Design major components and systems
-Implement large assemblies techniques (skeletons and top-down design), trained junior engineers
-Coordinate the implementation of database management software on the R&D Engineering Department (Pro/Intralink).
Requirements:
-Pro/Engineer advanced user with Surfacing
-Pro/Intralink
-Pro/MECHANICA and or other FEA tools
-Large Assemblies a plus
-BSME or preferably Aeronautical engineering degree
-Composites
